Modem Problems
Hey Guys i am working on my first build i just installed a new modem in it today and it gets me on the net but wont stay on anymore than 10 min or so max then it disconects and redials. My old system stays up just fine but not the new one.
I even tried the norton utility that is supposed to keep it on, it doesnt help. Its an intel modem and my old one is an external zoom. Oh yea it has seting that are supposed to control how long it stay on net but they dont work either. Do you have any ides how this problem can be fixed? Thank you

Use the external Zoom or get rid of the Intel modem and get a decent hardware based modem.
