trouble setting up network
I just finished my first build and hooked up my linksys modem to it using usb and connecting to the internet worked fine.
However now I'm trying to connect both my computers through a netgear router using ethernet but my new build will not recognise the ethernet connection, while my old computer works fine through the router. Do I have to enable my ethernet plug somehow or something like that? The new mobo is a asus p4c800 e delux, thanks |

are the drivers for the mobo installed properly?
check your device listings to make sure nothing is flagged and everything is listed correctly. you may need to change your internet settings to go through the network card too.. IE -> tools -> options check the connections tab. |

I just built this PC using Asus with onboard NIC and it would not connect until I installed the drivers from the CD as Yellowhut suggested.
