Filezilla ftp server
I recently downloaded filezilla as an ftp server. I was just wondering how to connect to it from another computer now. I know you go to "run" in the start menu and type in "ftp://user:.password@server.address.com." What would the server name and address be for me?
Thanks

Would it make a difference if the server is on a network. I would type in ftp://user:.password@192.168.1.102.com, from another computer on the network. What about from another computer not on the network?
Thanks again |

From another computer not on the network, you would have to forward port 21 in the router to the local IP address of the server, then connect to your WAN IP address, not local IP address.
You do not use .com, you use just the IP address. |
