Exclamation D-Link wireless webcam to Netgear Access Point

I just purchased a D-Link DCS-1000W H/W VerA2. It's a wireless 802.11b Internet camera. Cannot link to wireless 802.11b Netgear ME102 Access Point. Checked ESSID, Channel, WEP Key, and connection mode on camera & access point. Everything appears to be setup properly. Testing with camera & access point right beside each other; so distance is not an issue. Camera links to network fine w/patch cable to switch. Camera is manually set to default of 192.168.0.20/24. Access point is set to 192.168.0.6/24; so they are both on same network.

Anyone out there have a similar setup? I'm waiting on D-Link to respond, and I've check Netgear's site; but I'm afraid the two vendors may get in finger pointing game even though one 802.11b device from one vendor should work with another vendors 802.11b device....if they really adhere to the standard. Oh and btw, all other wireless devices on my net are Netgear & they do connect to the access point. Imagine that. Pls help if u can. thx.

Well, it turns out the camera was defective. I had it configured right; and D-Link asked me to return it for a full refund or an exchange. I exchanged the camera only to get a second, defective camera. The second camera's toggle switch for WLAN, WLAN & LAN, and LAN was sunk deep into the camera. My opinion after two defective cameras in a row...poorly built camera.

Thanks for trying to help. The article made it sound great as did all the reviews I read prior to purchase. Guess I'll chalk this one up to experience.

Their (D-Link's) loss man. You might want to post a product review in that forum on this hardware.
