My internet stopped working suddenly a few days ago, and sometimes it works (such as now). Could it be a DoS attack?

If you want some actual help here could you give a little more info, like what type internet connection, and any network components involved, and specs of the PC, and any errors that show on the PC when the internet doesn't work..

Quick check for DoS
You can check for DoS attack on your system by seeing how many connections are open. In windows go to command prompt (run -> cmd) and type netstat -a
If you see a lot of connections (more than say 50) and the Foregin address in most of them is some unknown IP(s) then you might experience DoS. |
