Hello,
We all know that President Bush, in the light of this new year, has passed a new AntiSpam law, that makes Spam illegal (the means of enforcements still unsure). What is ironic, is that lately, I've been getting an increased amount of SPAM - Unsolicited Emails, most of which are graphic. My father also receives SPAM in his mailbox, far more severe than mine (about 70% SPAM for him, 30% legitament). I'll get right to the point - what is the most effective SPAM filter out there? I do know it takes a little adjustmenets here and there, and stuff to get the SPAM to work effectively, but I want to know what works best at blocking these unwanted emails. I use Outlook Express 6.0 and my ISP does have a SPAM filter...not as effective, though, and prefixed and unadjustable. I would like to know if there are freewares out there, and then if needed, a paid filter program. Thanks, kram

Thanks glc,
I would go with the MailWasher program (after all, its free and its what I needed), but my dad, still working in business, wants to continue using his MS Outlook Express 6.0. Is there any program out there that'll integrate the filtration system into the Outlook Express? Thanks, kram |

Choicemail at digiportal.com seems to work great. It acts as an intermediary with outlook and your ISP. It captures and filters all e-mails.
In addition to defending against receiving spam, do you know once an account has been spoofed and is being used as a spam e-mail sender if there is a way to identify the culprit and prevent said account from being used? Should the user change their e-mail? Notify the ISP? Thanks |

Well - you could upgrade OE to Outlook, it will seamlessly import everything when you install it.
