Game Server & Router.. confusing
ive recently set up my router and would like to know what the problem is, i host a game server of SOF2 but when i do log on to the game to play myself ( i am supposed to be the server ) my ping is like everyone else can see it instead of being 0. Now the other computer next to me when i put that in the game its reading as 0 and gets no lag.. whereas i thought both computers arent supposed to lag ( in the lagometer ) it jumps every so often.. not sure why though
only the 2 pc's are connected.. is this a problem or just something thats real? |

so you are running the server off the same computer you play on? with any connection you will get jumps like that depending on the traffic on the net. mine will lag but when i restart my server its fine then.
