PCI Serial modem ?
At the risk of being redundant I am going to try and find the answer to a situation I am having, Recently I installed a US Robotics modem 56K PRO V92/90. itinstall no problems but when I went into control pannel/modem/ diag. and quiery the modem it doesn 't see it. Yet the modem wors well. When it was detected on start up it says it found new hardware "PCI serial device" any one have the answer.?
Thanks AL

I don't know why it can't query it, but PCI modems are in fact seen as a "PCI serial device" until the drivers are installed. You may not have the correct driver installed is all I can think - especially if it's a Winmodem.
