a new router?
Decided on a new router and as always I figure its best to do some home work to save some headachs later.
I was looking at D-Link 604 or the 804 (wired, I havn't migrated to wirless yet). There is a Dl604 for 20$(recertified-whatever that means) online, which is pretty cheap. But sense I am going to keep this for awhiule, a few more $ isn't going to kill me if its worth it, and that is why I was looking at the Dl804 which has VPN. I am playing ghames online and am looking for good protection and ease of use for my network at home. Any insight will be appreciated thansk B PS does anyone know what recertified means? |

If you can get a 604 for 20 bucks, go for it. It's a solid little router and I don't see a need for a VPN-capable router unless you are going to be using one at another location also to establish a VPN.
Recertified = used, repaired, refurbished. |

Yeah, last time I looked at a D-Link router, it didn't have any place to hook up a tin can and string.
