Router Issue? Modem Issue?
Ok, i just went to Comp USA with my friend, we got him a linksys 4 port wired router, he hooked it up to his modem and ran one line to his pc, and the other to his PS2 for FF 11, all of a sudden, both him and his brother were disconnected from the internet.............we did not use the setup cd as i kno it is plug and play however does anyone have a suggestion to keep this from happening again?

It happened only once?
I just discovered my cheapo router has been seizing periodically because its been overheating (I had it sitting next to the modem which I could fry an egg on). Hasn't disconnected since I moved it. You should probably run the set-up cd anyway if for nothing else to change your password. Your given a default username and password to log in and change your settings- and its the same for all linksys routers. I beileve for linksys its actually no username and password is "admin". |
