zyxel, zyair, bypassing help
I have a Zyxel, ZyAIR router and play a game called Day of Defeat. I use a program or have been trying to use a program called HLSW. This allows me to basically not be in the game but see who is playing, chat with the players, and if there is a problem, kick, slap, or slay anyone all from not being in the game. My problem is when I press the button "get log" It says cannot determine your IP adress. And I must be able to get the log from the server in order to do anything. I believe my problem is the router. I assume i need to somewhat bypass my router or something. There help page says to basically create a new line of service and make it use port 7130-7139. But with my router I have no idea how to do this?

That's what the router manual is for. I haven't a clue because that's not a mainstream router - if you had a Linksys or D-Link I could easily point you in the right direction.

Yea well the router is provided by the ISP we go with. So they update it or change it out every once in a while. But i'm stuck with this one for now. I'll try and find the manual. Anyway thanks for the help. My problem is I dont know what I should be looking for. Some kind of how to on port forwarding or new service or something? Any ideas?

I am board to decided to pick through the on line manual a bit.
I will post what I find. The ZyAIR is shipped with the following factory default: 1. IP address = 192.168.1.1, subnet mask = 255.255.255.0 (24 bits) 2. DHCP server enabled with IP pool starting from 192.168.1.33 3. Default SMT menu password = 1234 The default LAN IP of the ZyAIR is 192.168.1.1 The default User Name is 'admin' and the default password is the default SMT password, '1234'. The section on ports is not simplified and very extensive. This will get you to where you can mess it up good if you are not careful. Do some research.

Ok i've done a little research and I'm pretty sure what i need to do is manually set a port range. Anyone have any ideas on how to do this with my router? Once again thanks for helping out the noob.
