War in Iraq.....
How does everyone feel about the upcoming war... I personally am in 100% support of the troops in Iraq, and around the world, and am O.K. with the idea of going to war if it will increase National Safety. I support this war, even though there are some underlying issues about wheter or not this war is about oil or not.... I am still in support of this war, and believe the backing for this war has a greater emphasis on national security. Please don't turn this post into a very negative thing, please just state your opinion, and reply to other posts nicely. Thank you.

I think its going to be good. I am happy. it dissapoints me that we have to sink this low to end terrorism, but I think if the terrorists are stupid enough to not do what they're asked, i say lets do what is needed.

LoL - Mods watch these posts like hawks
![]() Let me try and help this post avoid a lockdown by turning it into humorous political commentary By Dennis Miller All the rhetoric on whether or not we should go to war against Iraq has got my insane little brain spinning like a roulette wheel. I enjoy reading opinions from both sides, but I have detected a hint of confusion from some of you. As I was reading the paper recently, I was reminded of the best advice someone ever gave me. He told me about the KISS method ("Keep it Simple, Stupid"). So, with this as a theme, I'd like to apply this theory for those who don't quite get it. My hope is that we can simplify things a bit and recognize a few important facts. Here are 10 things to consider when voicing an opinion on this important issue: 1) President Bush and Saddam Hussein.....Hussein is the bad guy. 2) If you have faith in the United Nations to do the right thing, keep this in mind. They have Libya heading the Committee on Human Rights and Iraq heading the Global Disarmament Committee. Do your own math here. 3) If you use Google Search and type in "French Military Victories," your reply will be "Did you mean French Military Defeats?" 4) If your only anti-war slogan is "No war for oil," sue your school district for allowing you to slip through the cracks and robbing you of the education you deserve. EMPHASIZED!5) Saddam and Bin Laden will not seek United Nations approval before they try to kill us. 6) Despite what some seem to believe, Martin Sheen is NOT the President. He plays one on TV. 7) Even if you are anti-war, you are still an "Infidel" and Bin Laden wants you dead, too. 8) If you believe in a "vast right-wing conspiracy," but not in the danger that Hussein poses, quit hanging out with the Dell computer dude. 9) We are not trying to liberate them. 10) Whether you are for military action, or against it, our young men and women overseas are fighting for us to defend our right to speak out. We all need to support them without reservation. I hope this helps haha, Dennis Miller - What a gay!

The are some really good points. They will help me piss off my one friend in school who is anti-war, and talking about the "no war for oil" thing. Thanks for Keeping it Simple. LOL!!

the reason is because i know many friends that are in the navy and army and dislikes going to war. they are actually scared stiff due to the fact. what im saying is i thank you all for risking your lives and bringing justice to all the innocent peoples that were lost in terrorism. i dislike war, but i guess saddam would not negotiate to end the war in a peacful way. BUT what is the reason behind Bush coming out of nowhere and tell the iraqi to disarm? i thought we were looking for osama...

As a former long time member of the Canadian Air Force I would like to say that fully support All the troops in this war. I would also like to apologize for our Prime Minister's unforgivable decision not to support the USA!!

i am all for the troops. But for some reason it seems that the reason we all are there changes.
first it was that he had links to terrosists..he very well might with his past history. second it was because he had WOMD. again with his past he may very well have some. Now it is about liberating the iraq people. also it maybe be about oil, money, bush just wants revenge for his father. i wish he would makeup his mind.I do know that he is a bad guy either way(evildoer) either way Saddam needs to be taken out of power he is to bad of a guy to control so many people and land. zaney123 |

We are going to war because points 1 and 2 are true and prove to be a direct threat to our vital interests, which is the only true reason for a nation to go to war. 3 is also true but more of a byproduct of being conquered by a great nation like ours (think of Germany and especially Japan). Reason 4 is a trite and false attack on the pure motives of our president who is supported by 80% of the US people in re: to going to war with Iraq. HTH |

We are living in scary times, now Donal Rumsfeild has warns Syria not to aid Iraq, it looks like things might start spiraling out of control. Let's hope not for everybody will be at risk.
No disrespect M.M for while I'm not a Muslim (I'm what you call an infidel ), I do respect the Muslim (Islamic) faith, but when it comes to war no one wins.
