For a good page on C: (not C++)
http://www.ibilce.unesp.br/coursewar...ram/cstart.htm

New programmers should like this page, and veteran programmers may want to take a look at the advanced topics, this is a good reference!

If anyone finds good pages, for any language, please post them under this thread!

And here are some more:
www.devx.com has several magazines, some archived online; VB Programmers Journal, Getting Started with VB (excellent intro), Java, plus columns on many related subjects.
www.javaworld.com for obvious reasons.
www.devhead.com run by ZDNet has a massive site covering all aspects of Web development plus downloadable scripts of many varieties.

They all have great link lists.

Have fun (and save all these resources )!!

I found a good C++ tutorial on shareware.com, it assumes some prior C experience, so you can read the C tuitorial on the net then move here if you prefer.

Here are links to the shareware.com download pages, if you can't get them to work for whatever reason I'll gladly e-mail the files (in one zip) to you.

From shareware.com they are in two zips, a zip of the text files:
Here

And the source code referenced by the text (required for any kind of understanding of the text):

If you want or need guidance for home study, here's a resource; ZD University at www.zdu.com

They charge $99/year, which includes a magazine subscrption, or $7.95 per month. I audited a course on ActiveX control building in '97 and found it to be thorough and well designed.
