I'll tell ya, I've got more respect for Al Sharpton than Jesse Jackson. At least Sharpton doesn't pretend to be all high and mighty like Jesse. With Al, you know he's full of crap from the get go. He doesn't pretend to be anything other than what he is. Jackson tries to travel this "moral high ground" all the time making him the biggest hypocrite in U.S. history.

oh man lawyerron, i can't agree. when i see sharpton, i see as big a race-bater as jackson. I will say he's not nearly as visable as jackson, but the few times i've seen him on tv, he's distorting facts and using double standards.

I never said he didn't. My point was, you know up front that Al's full of crap. He's a cartoon, a caricature. A buffoon. In terms of respect, I was speaking in relative terms. I merely respect him MORE than Jackson. And that aint much. Don't take it literally, as in "I respect Al Sharpton". He doesn't pretend to be the Mother Theresa of Black Activists like Jesse Jackson. That was my point.
