Redirect My Documents
I have a desktop PC running Windows XP Pro. The HDD is partitioned into 10GB and two 45GB sections. I want to move my doc's from the 10GB partition because I have run out of space as programme files are also on this smaller partition. Can I do it as simply as altering the target of My Doc's to D:/
??? Any advice welcome Cheers Clare |

Yes, you can do this easily. Just right-click your My Documents folder and select properties. The 'target' tab has the option to Move the location of 'My Documents' to wherever you want. Use it to create a new folder on your D:\ partition and your docs will be moved to that folder, and from then on, the 'My Documents' link will always point there.
