How do you download PC Mech videos?

I’m a recent gold member. Part of the reason I signed up for the gold level is the ability to download PC Mech videos. I’ve tried to play the new video where David is trying to open one of those awful plastic blister packed packages. Even with a bandwidth speed of over 5800kbps, the movie would buffer every 3-6 seconds. I couldn’t watch it under those conditions. I didn’t even get 30 seconds into it before I had to stop. I don’t know if the problem is with PC Mech, the uTube site, or me.

I thought I would just download it so I could watch it uninterrupted. I can’t seem to find the area on PC Mech where I can do this. When I searched your site for how to download your videos it referred me to the article. I have seen the article written on how to download uTube videos using several different Windows programs. Is that what I’m supposed to do?

I don’t know if the PC Mech channel on uTube is a members only section, but I assume it’s not.

Am I missing something? It seems to me that there would be a page of links somewhere that I can just right click and “save target as” to get the movie.

You guidance is much appreciated.

I just watched that same video with no issues and I have at best, a quarter of your bandwidth.

I don't know much about bandwidth and internet traffic and things like that. I just watched the movie again and it buffered in the exact same places it did this morning. Maybe it's my isp or something. At this point all I want to know is where to download the movies so I can watch them.

I'm glad you have no issues with watching the movie.

Hopoefully, I'll get an answer in the near future.

That video is coming in from Youtube. While I have seen it lag before, usually Youtube is running OK.

But, you did most certainly remind me that I need to post the MOV for you. No, there is no central place to download movies. The idea is that each video we post will have the download link right in the post, under the player.
