I am unable use my CD-RW drive at all. I can't copy to it (BACKUPS), play music from it, or run software on it. I did (at someone's recommendation) buy Roxio, telling me it had something to do wtih "threads or packets, don't remember exactly.) When I go to my computer and click on the drive it shows the drive as being "full". I don't have the money to take it to a fix it store and am trying to see if you can help me diagnose the problem, and maybe how to fix it too! You guys are great, Thanks!

Stacey,
If you put a regular CD into the drive and it still will not read, then it could be that the drive has simply failed and you will need to replace it. It sounds that way to me. |
