Unhappy Vista won't delete file!

Windows explorer in vista. I have a file in a folder on my desktop that is a .m2v file that is around 20GB. I sent the folder to trash and it didn't totally remove the file. Now when starting windows I bring up task manager windows explorer is running at around 75%-78% and windows media player is running at 23%-26%. If I try to delete the file now it just sits forever and never deletes it.

The file was an export file from Abobe Premier that I used to burn video to dvd. No matter what I do I can't get rid of the file or stop the system from trying to run it on its own. Oh, the file now shows it is 4k in size but when the delete screen comes up it shows the size as 0.

I tried disabling everything in the start-up but that didn't help any.

Have you tried to delete the file in safe mode?

I have tried deleting in save mode but that didn't work. Even in save mode windows explorer is showing 50% in task manager.

Thanks, I'll try the program you listed.

Thanks for the unlocker link, it worked perfectly. In fact I liked it so much I put it on my other computers too.
