Where is PCMech University???
Joined 11.29.08 as Gold Member. Been with other computer help sites, none really teach much.
I have downloaded tools like CCleaner and Zoomit which I use. The other tools, of which I download each one, I just cant understand how to use them. This site claims to have tools and how to use them but I have never seen any of that, how to use part. I have built several computers, tweek the registery in WinXP myself. I know to uncheck MSCONFIG items to start as little as possible. There was an article on this recently from PCMech. I will review it. My dilema is, I joined to learn the PC in depth and become a GEEK of sorts. Where is the PCMech University part? I see hither dither subjects mentioned, but none that get to the root of understanding PC things. It seems this GEEK stuff is a catch as you can undertaking. Not really laid out for a complete understanding of any one subject. This making money sounds good but I am so dishearted in PCMech so far. Am I missing the core purpose of this site? I wanna learn my PC to the Nth degree. I just cant find a site that teaches it. I do like the two tools I have gotten but would like to know how the rest work. I was hoping for a course outline showing the tools used in each subject. Oh well it is the best of them so far. Just can someone please write a web site that really offers what is needed. Or at least point me to the URL of it? |

If you go to http://www.pcmech.com/series/ , you will see a list of the courses in the system.
However, we are about to change some things for 2009. Videos are being released this week to lead up to that. Feel free to send in some questions you would like answered in future material. That said, survey has shown that 96% of our members are happy with the material being presented.

Wow,
I can not thank you enough for answering my post. I am sorry if disgruntled is how my post was taken. I was extremely impressed to see the site organization is changing, you listen which shows your enthusiam toward your subscribers. I eagerly read my email each day looking for new tools you offer. I use many of them. I do however need to know more on the OS side of the computer. For me the nagging question is: Why does my hard drive light activate so much. I mean the computer is sitting idle at the desktop and the light flickers like crazy. I wipe my hard drive and ghost back my puter every few weeks. When I first do this I have a very calm drive light. I just would like to have a program that tells me what is read/writing to the hard drive. Money - I see this as a topic in your site. I have used the internet for over a decade now to make a large 6fig income. I trade the financials with programs I have written etc. I am impressed with your site and understand I need to put in more effort daily. I will be visiting this site much more often. Wow I look forward to all you have to offer. Hope your Vacation was a good one. |
