Can somebody take a look at my HijackThis Log?
I'm embarrassed to admit this, but I pulled an idiot move and downloaded some free "HP software" for my photo printer. I was in a pinch and couldn't find the installation disk. The HP website wanted to send me another disk which I didn't have time for. Thought I could find the drivers online. I found something online alright, and they weren't drivers! I got my ass handed to me. It was so bad that when I logged on to our desktop, the mouse and keyboard stopped working. I was waiting for pictures of Gremlins to pop up and start laughing at me. Lesson learned.
Here's what I've done so far: 1) I ran Housecall and removed what was found. 2) I ran Avast 4.8 full virus scan and moved the findings to the chest. 3) I ran Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool. I don't have Adaware or Spybot installed. (Probably should...) I ran Hijack This and here is my log. Would somebody mind taking a look at it and make any recommendations? Sorry to be a pain, but my hands are really tied here. -B P.S. I have an HP Media Server, so the Windows Home Server Connector Service is supposed to be there. I was installing the software when the sh*t started to hit the fan. Download and run Malwarebytes.
www.malwarebytes.org The free version is good enough. Get rid of these: O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Hfawuyipiduray] rundll32.exe "C:\WINDOWS\ehakuyepebeham.dll",e O20 - Winlogon Notify: geBtSKeC - geBtSKeC.dll (file missing) |

Thanks, glc for the recommendation. I think I'm in the clear.
For whatever it's worth, I was surprised to learn that one of the behaviors my computer was exhibiting (that I attributed to a virus) was caused by Logitech SetPoint. I have a wireless keyboard and mouse for that PC and after I logged on to our desktop, both of them would stop working. |
