USB Ports Not Recognizing Devices
One of my kids PC's (Sweet Pea in sig) is no longer responding to any USB device that I plug in. For instance I bought a new webcam for it, installed the software, plugged in the cam and nothing. I further tested it by plugging the cam in to the other ports as well as trying a USB memory stick...nadda.
Any advice as what I can do to get this machine to recognize devices? Is there a way to, for lack of better word, reset all the USB port assignments by maybe reinstalling drivers or something? Thanks for you patience at my ignorance

Try disconnecting all USB devices, go into device manager and remove all the USB root hubs and controllers, and reboot.
