Boom Antivirus 2009

Has anyone had a proble with this program infecting there computer. I got it last a few weeks ago. I wiped my hard drive and reloaded windows to get rid of it. Now last night while surfing I have it again. is there a way to first get rid of it and second prevent it from happening again.
I am currently running Macafee antivirus on Windows xp.

Exclamation I hate it when that happin's

I had the same problem with Norton the best way I found to get out of computer was to use the PERFECT UNINSTALLER program it works great but there is a fee!!!! And you might try going to McAfee and see if they have a uninstaller on there site.....

Malwarebytes will remove it but do it in Safe Mode with Networking. Nothing will "prevent" it but "thinking before you click" will certainly reduce the odds.

non-Norton Antivirus 2009?

I have been using Comodo Internet Security and it blocks most installers from installing. Make sure your browser is setup to prevent 3rd party apps from installing automatically (look under Internet options).
However I still get malware so having Malwarebytes is a must. Make sure to purchase a license to get real-time scanning enabled. Every now and then I will visit a website and a pop up from my security app will tell me I was almost infected. Less than 5 seconds from clicking and I get a pop up. Mostly advertisements since the websites I visited were legit.
Also I assume you are talking about Antivirus 2009 malware, I have worked on machines infected with win Antivirus 2009 and even malwarbytes couldn't fix the problem so I had to do a clean install.
