I'm building a new pc with the following:
Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD4P Intel Core i7 920 OCZ ModXStream Pro OCZ600MXSP 600W HIS Hightech H467P1GP Radeon HD 4670 1GB Western Digital VelociRaptor WD1500HLFS 150GB CORSAIR XMS3 3GB (3 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 Microsoft Windows XP Professional SP3 I have everything installed (except the OS) and can not get a video signal. The fans are running, the hdd spins up...everything seems okay, but no signal and no system beeps. At first I thought it was due to the fact that for some reason (???) Gigabyte has the bios default set for the video to be on the PCI bus, not the PCI EX16. So, I installed a pci card from an older system...still no luck. HELP??! |

The new machine is up and running like a charm.
I built it mainly for my photoshop work...the old machine was seriously beginning to lag on some of the larger files I am creating. I ran a comparison test on the old system, stitching together 6 raw files and saving the resulting file complete with layers. The time was 9.5 minutes. I ran the same process on the new build and the time was under 1 minute. Mission accomplished. |
