realtek audio

I really hate this program.

I have simple altec lansing speakers. subwoofer and two speakers. Realtek wants to add speakers will not play right. I have not gotten any sets of speaker to play correctly with this yet. Others computers, plug in, make few minor tweaks, and plays right. Realtek came with the gateway bundled. I am tryin downloading drivers etc now, do re install to see if that will help. It will not recognize simple system. I don't have 5 speakers, nor do I want that.

any suggestions?
