Installing a second video card in an Asus P5B
Three monitor setup
Like an idiot I accidentally bought an AGP card which doesn't fit my motherboard (Asus P5B). Just want to make sure I get the right advice here and get the right one from this list: http://www.ncix.com/search/?categoryid=0&q=geforce+6200 Just to be clear, this is going to be added alongside an 8800 gts 320mb card for the sole reason of being able to use 3-4 monitors. I was told the geforce 6200 would be fine for the job. As for installation, do I just need to physically installl it, run the software cd that comes with it and I'm good to go? Thanks edit: as another aside, which slot do I install it in? I have my 8800 in the lone black slot that's slightly bigger than the rest, then there are two (I believe) other slightly smaller slots, and a couple tiny ones. I assume the card will fit in the medium sized connectors? Last edited by CleanChucks; 03-03-2009 at 10:02 AM. |

Here is a list of PCI video cards from Ncix, any of them will work: http://www.ncix.com/products/index.p...bminorcatid=50
As for installation, you've got it. On the Asus P5B, the PCI slots are the white ones.
