Unhappy CPU Fan Error

I just installed a asus mobo P5Q-EM DO w/Intel core 2 Duo and heasink fan Freezer 7 Pro by artic cooling, my problem is on the post boot I get an error Message that "CPU Fan Error" I called ASUS they ran over a few things with me in the BIOS Set-Up and came to the conclusion that my CPU is bad, everything I just installed is new right out the box from Newegg, could this be?
Also I used the heatsink fan that came in the box w/Intel and Freezer 7 Pro both say "CPU Fan Error".....Help Please!!!

Hooking up a cpu fan is pretty easy so I will jump to bios settings. One reason your fan is having problems is because there usually is threshold for how fast it is spinning. Check in your bios and disable any threshold warnings and reboot. If you are still getting errors it might be a mobo issue. Just for reference I ran my C2D cpu w/o a heatsink and fan and it took a while to get a warning from my mobo. If you run your system with out warnings from your mobo make sure you use a system monitor that measures cpu temps. Speed fan comes to mind but there are others.
I will check to see if any other things will set off a cpu fan error message.
