system debugger
I have a new CD with some engineering information on it but I cannot get it to load properly. The following message appears as I attempt to load the CD:
"For security purposes, this program will not run while system debuggers are active. Please remove or disable the system debugger before trying to run this program again." My operating system is Windows XP Professional I found an article online that has a method of disabling the system debugger in the boot.ini file. I found that my boot.ini file does not have any "DEBUG" switch in it. I have searched the Microsoft Help site with no luck. Where do I look for the "system debugger" switch. Thanks for any help you can give me. davi420 |

A quick Google search showed me a thread that stated that the data execution prevention tool in Windows is the culprit most likely.
Right click on My computer from the start menu and select properties. You can also get to System by going into control panel. Once there click on the Advanced tab then performance settings button and then there should be a data execution prevention tab that will allow you to setup settings for your program to not be prevented from executing. You can try installing in safe mode. Works for me when a program refuses to install sometimes. |
