New Computer, No Monitor Output

Hello,
I just got a Systemax Computer about a month ago and it has been working great up until now. I shut it down and removed all of the various connections to it in order to move it. Tonight when I put it all back together, I have no monitor output. I even tried a different monitor. Nothing, as if it isn't even connected.
I bought it through Tiger Drect, so they will pay return shipping and I can get a new one but is there maybe something I can do in the mean time, before I send it back?

I also need to find out how to back up the HD and then wipe it before I return it. The problem is that it is a SATA drive and I have an IDE on my other computer I am using now. What do I do? BTW I have Ubuntu 8.10 64 bit on it, so if there is something I can use to back it up? My other PC is WinXP Home SP3 and again, it is and IDE drive.

Man this sux. I am going to get behind on my work without this so any prompt answers will be appreciated.

You could use a USB adapter to connect the hard drive to another computer, but Windows won't be able to read the Linux filesystem. The time to do backups is before something breaks, not after.

If you are allowed to take things apart without voiding the warranty (doubtful), try this:

Having problems with a new build? Try this.

Okay I found out what the problem was. The pc is fine, while it was disconnected, one of my little guys had switched the voltage switch to 230v. It took me a little bit to notice it, as this has never happened to me b4.

Thank God it was something simple. There is tape over the switch now. I feel a little foolish, but I am very grateful for what it was!
