Looking for information about a MP3 player

Creative Labs Nomad Jukebox ZEN XTRA 30GB MP3 Player

I have read some reviews of the 20 GB verison that stated it would be nice if it had a replaceable battery.

Then following a link from a site selling the 30 GB took me to creativelabs.com that says the Zens Have a removable battery.

http://us.creative.com/products/prod...8&nav=features

Newegg sells this and before I buy one, I want to be sure the battery is replacable.

http://www.newegg.com/app/viewproduc...C-pr1c3grabb3r

I like many of the features for the price if and only if the battery is replaceable.

I think I found it just now. I believe the "Xtra" in the name is the difference. i FOUND the battery

Knowing a replacement battery a year down the road for about 50 dollars isn't horriable I guess.

The player you linked to does have a replacable battery. I have used one and opened it up to see how difficult it was to replace. It is very simple. Also, I don't think you will have to replace the battery every year. Some of the Ipods had battery problems that made the batteries die prematurely (within a year) and the big deal was, and still is, that it's very difficult to replace the battery.

yea, the one year think was a bad example. Just knowing it does not turn to a paper weight after the battery dies is good.

I ordered it. I did something I normally don't do. I extended the warranty as well. I read one or two reviews that said the hard drive may fail. But everything else seems good about it.

Sorry for hijacking your thread, but how long does an ipod battery last on average? Its just I don't want to buy an ipod if the battery dies within a year.

1 to 2 years.

That is one of the reasons I was looking for a player with a replaceable battery
