Bought A TV But Only Green Lines Across

Hi everyone

I just bought a 32" tv and when i turn it on all i get in green lines and volume bu t no picture. I can't enter a setup thing at all. I think the tv is dead. Any ideas?

are the lines stright across the screen like it rolling vertically fast , or are they on a diagonal like the horizontal is off frequency.

It's certainly dead. Have you tried other inputs, like for a DVD player?

they were across, other inputs wouldn't even work. I'm going to return it today.

Apex is hit or miss. They get their components from the lowest bidder - The tuner might be Toshiba or it might be Funai, the screen might be from Sony or it might be from some chinese nobody company, the filter...well, I won't even go there.

With televisions, it's always smart to stick with known brands.

That's what a warranty is for. I bought a $89 19 inch "Orion" from Wallymart a few months ago and it works great. I was fully prepared to have to return it if it was DOA.
