cut off

my printer ( epson colour 580 / model p190b ).
has decided to cut me off from the internet as soon as it starts printing. this has only recently started happening.
o/s winme.
512 sdram.
20 gig h/d ( 8 gig free )
latest drivers ( i think )
any idears ??

Are you using dial-up! Perhaps an IRQ conflict with your printer and modem. Although I would think that would just freeze up the screen, but there must be some kind of conflict with another device and your printer!

What IRQ is you printer & modem on, and are there any other devices on the same IRQ?

i plugged my cdrw into the modem instead of the aux.
doh . i,m learning. ( slowly ).
now i have another problem.
posted on hardware. SB LIVE 5.1
