Does the new motherboard have one of those AMR type modems on it? (they look like a really tiny, tiny, little PCI slot. If there is you may need to disable it in the bios. Are you able to at least post when the modem is in one of the slots? If you can then go into the bios and try enabling the 'reset device configuration' or something like that. If you cant even post when the modem is in one of the PCI slots, but the same modem works fine in other machines, that kind of sucks! I cant really think of much of anything you could really do to get it to work, aside from looking over your motherboard and double checking ALL of the jumper settings, also make sure that you dont have a bunch of other things installed on the computer when your trying to get the modem to work.
