fqpissed Stupid Rodents

I have 5 mice (4 ps2 and 1 serial), 2 trackballs (both serial 1 logitec and the other Microsoft), and three computers. when I try to get the mice to work on 2 of the computers the computer doesn't even notice that there are any mice connected to them at all, but they all work on the 3rd computer. The track balls works on all the computers.........Why!?

Hi Aubster1,

Are your computers all using serial ports? Because if you are having to use an adapter with the ps2 mice, some computers just seem to not like 'em.

Both are shuttle 591p mothersboards and I have used multiple PS2 to serial adaptors with the same results. I have even used the asaptor with the trackballs, and they work with all of them.

PS2 to serial adapters just don't work well unless it's an adapter that came with that particular mouse, and even then it's a crapshoot.
