Could one assume that you just upgraded to that vid card but in that same PC with your old vid card and same monitor there were not any problems????

It almost sounds like some kind of interference, did you reposition the cable in any way or place anything near the cable or monitor that could be causing interference? What exactly do you mean by noise up and down the monitor?? If you have access to another monitor give it a try...

I´ve tryed 3 diffrent monitors at two diffrent locations both with the same resault.
The noise im talking about is like waves going down the screen. It´s like some kind of interferance, but when I´m starting the computer or in bios mode it dosent show up. Also when I was Installing Win Xp it didnt show up, not until win xp was on its last stage when I rebooted the computer and it was finalicing the install.
And thanx for taking the time to help
Could it be the power supply?

You wouldn't think the power supply since it hasn't changed and it doesn't power the monitor, but that new vid card could be much more of a drain on the PC's power supply and it could be that you may need to get a better higher rated power supply cause of the new vid card...Boot into safe mode and if trouble is still there then it's likely hardware but if problem clears when in safe mode then it's likely driver or video settings related.. What resolution are you set at???

Im currently using 1280*1024 but the noise gets worse if I go below that.
I guess I´ll have to by a new power supply.
Was thinking about doing that because the power supply is running kinda hot also.

You sould be fine with 360 watt, but usually those power units that they sell that come with cases are not top quality, and I see your running dual processor's. Did you try the safe mode thing???
You should try that first to decide if it's software or hardware...

That Pretty much rules out drivers or video settings, only other hardware thing to be sure is the pins on the monitor cable to be sure no broken or bent pins, but I'm sure thats not it since U did try a different monitor,, Looks like that power supply could be it.. I would maybe just for my own satisfaction if it were mine to put old video card back in to see if trouble clears...

If the problem is still there in safe mode, I'd start looking at a RMA for the card itself.
