GTA3 problem

As some of you know i just finished building my first pc.

SPECS
soltek 75FRN2-L mobo
amd 1700+ tbred processor
256mb kingston ram
ati 9500(modable one)

Ok i installed grand theft auto 3 and started playing, i hop in the car at the begining and begin to drive and it lags(skips). It does it about every 5 seconds and i dont know what the problem is.

What drivers do you have installed? Perhaps you are running the game in settings that are too high... Oh and what is the minimum memory for the game?

I havent had a chance to dl the latest drivers, that could be the problem. Recommended is 128mb ram.

I would suggest trying new drivers. Your system seems to be fast enough for it.. If that doesn't work I'm not sure what the solution is.
