ok can some 1 please tell me wut -/+ is with dvds. this has been confusing me for ever

It is the format of DVD used to burn the DVD. For example if you have a DVD+RW burner then oyu can only burn on DVD+RW or DVD+R DVD's. There are DVD burners with DVD-/+RW so you can burn both formats.

Those are the two major formats for DVD's. I'm not sure which one is the dominant format, and it is recommended to get a dual format DVDRW.

The DVD+RW is better for creating movies since it has the best chance of it being played on home DVD players but some DVD-R's can be played on home DVD players also. DVD-R is cheaper.

I just finished burnning one on dvd+ and played it in my dvd player, not in the computer, its external and it was great.

I have no problems with + or - Media. I've burned close to 100 movies since Dec. using both types.
