Question lite-on 52x's cd-rw

is there a firmware upgrade for this drive? I bought this new in the box and it said on the box 52x32x52 cdrw drive but when I went to burn cd this shows as a 482655lto drive and burns at 48 x's I have another pc with the same drive and it shows a 522 prefix and burns at 52x's.....just makes me wonder if I didn't get jipped?..............T

Check at www.liteonit.com for firmware, but if it's coming up as a 48x, I have to wonder if somebody didn't screw up somewhere.... I would verify the number as a 48x and send it back if that's what it is.

Read the exact model number off the sticker on the drive itself to confirm - it may have been a repack in the wrong box or something. Not that a 52x drive performs any better than a 48x, but you deserve to get what you paid for.
