Floppy not working

I just got a new floppy disk drive from newegg.com and installed it into my P4C800-E Deluxe and for some reason it doesnt work. I know its not broken because i see the green light on. But when i go to My Computer and see my drives i dont see it. It wont read any disks either. The floppy drive didnt come with a disk for drivers and I went to the samsung site but they do not have any drivers for it. What can i do to fix this?

Check your cable - it may be connected to the floppy upside down. I had the same problem when I added a floppy.

Make sure it's enabled in the bios too. If the green light STAYS on, you have the cable incorrectly installed.

I had a samsung floppy drive from newegg also that never worked. I RMAed it paid the shipping cost and when I got it back it still wouldn't work. I tried everything, changed the wiring, changed the cable, reversed the cable, nothing. Other floppy drives worked fine. I finally just chucked the drive, bought a sony from a local computer supply shop for 12 bucks and made a mental note not to buy samsung floppy drives anymore.
