what happened to my floppy drive?

My computer was in disuse for about 3 weeks, due to my broken keyboard (had to save up $ to get a new one). Now when it is back up and running, my floppy drive is not reading in my "my computers" folder. I am unable to save onto a floppy disk. I dont know what is wrong.

It worked fine, because i used the floppy disk driver to install my keyboard, then it stop reading. I dont think it was because of the driver but I'm am not sure because I didnt notice it until a few days later. I checked to make sure no wires are loose when i was fiddling witht the internals.

Is there a program i can run to see if it still is on my computer's software?

Look in your device manager to see if it is listed there and your add hardware box. You can always try unhooking the wires and uninstall it and try to reinstall and see if it finds it them.

It could also be dusty or it's seen better days.
