Cf I/ii?

Hello:

I'm looking to get some extra backup for my Toshiba e740 and it accepts Compact Flast I/II, and I was wondering what the difference is? Will a type II slot support a type I CF card?

Also what is the difference between CF and Secure Digital?

thanks

klutz

Type 1 is a big card, it takes up two Type 2 slots.

SD is just a different type of flash card, different socket.

You can get those anywhere, brand is not really important. Those are the most common cards for cameras.

ANY Type II CF flash memory card will work in any device that has a Type II CF card slot as long as the device in question doesn't have a capacity limit (like some cameras, refer to your manual), just like any standard floppy disk will work in a floppy drive and any standard CD-R will work in a CD burner.
