dating ads.

Could we possibly get rid of the banner dating ads on the Mech? I understand fully that running a site such as this requires that certain financial needs be met, and if the needs are such that dating ads must be a part of the means, then so be it. If possible however, it would be nice to see them go. I think most of the levelheaded crowd is just about sick of dating ads bombarding them at every turn on the www.

Can we at least have ads relating to computers/modding instead of this dating/popular screensavers/spyware crap?

If you can find us a viable ad service that will only feed us those types of ads, speak up.

Google AdSense You can do a content related *text-based* ads.

I dislike the flashy flash and shockwave crap too, but if it keeps this site up, I won't complain.

* We only accept campaigns for products or services that would be of interest to people who are into computers

Although dating ads aren't IT related, I don't mind seeing them as long as I don't have to pay to use the site.

I do however often find myself clicking on the SilenX.com ad...

The dating and girlie screen saver ads do seem to violate this policy. Like I said before, If it's the only way to keep this site up, then I guess we have to live with it, but if possible, it would sure be nice to see them go.
