Trading post

do u guys think there should perhaps be a minimum post limit (wouldn't have to be massive, eg 5/6bit?) for posting things for sale in the trading post forum?

i would have thought it was meant for users rather than for people to sign up just to trade sell their stuff.. and i'd have thought if there was a min limit it might help to prevent people being scammed?

perhaps u'd rather leave it open though?

I agree with MB, I posted stuff in the Trading Post trying to help people, but now I honestly think that I have bent the rules somewhat and I will not be putting any more threads in Trading Post.

I concur - PC Mech isn't based around the Trading Post, but rather the idea of helping people with Hardware and software problems.

We don't have a problem with the way the Trading Post is run now, as long as posters follow the rules. When they don't, we take care of it. All transactions are at your own risk.

I don't know if that would help or not. I do feel the same frustration at times. Recently, it seems that more and more people are signing up just to come in and sell computer parts, while they have the same item for sale on e-bay at the same time.

To help cut down my own risk when purchasing from the trading post, I generaly like to know that the person was here for awhile as a contributing member before I buy something from them. I just feel a bit more comfortable with the purchase.

If that's the way you shop, there's nothing wrong with it.

I know there are a lot of people who have been lurkers for a long time, making no, or a very small number of posts.
