Question PC Mech login problems

I had to reload XP after my computer messed up. I was using the PC Mech auto login feature. I couldn't remember my username or password so I found an email I had saved on a floppy disk. I clicked on link that changed my password and emailed me a new one. This got me in to change my password. After this I still can't login at the PC Mech login screen. It says I'm using the wrong username or password. If I click that I forgot my username or password, It says my email address is not on file or something like that. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I also read in another thread about accepting cookies causing some problems. Can the XP firewall stop cookies? Do I need to change something? I get the tip of the day and news letter emailed to me. I enjoy this site alot and like having a place to get answers to computer problems that come along. I would appreciate any help with this.

Thanks in advance

Your account looks fine to me, and if you were not logged in, you would not have been able to make this post.

The way I get in is to click on a link in an email, where someone replyed to a post from two weeks ago. Then from that old forum I can go do what I want. The link to reset my password will not work anymore. It says I don't have a user profile or something like that.

Smile

Well maybe it was a freak thing, I tried again a few minutes later and I didn't have any problems. I didn't change what I was doing it just didn't give me any trouble this time. Thanks for trying to help though.
