Quick Edit

Yes, I had another idea. Maybe this one would be more practical. I noticed on other forums using V-Buliten that they have the quick edit button. I find that to be very handy. Is there any way that could be implemented here?

Hey that's kind of freaky... I was thinking the same thing last night but for the signature as well. I sometimes submit a post and go look at it, only to see that I have forgotten to remove my signature (i.e. if I have multiple posts in the thread and people don't want to see it over and over again). If there were a checkbox right in the thread with the "QuickEdit" area to remove signature, it would be MUCH easier to get rid of it in this case.

Good idea Hi Ho!

Yeah it is kinda freaky .. but yesterday, there was a modification done so that a person's sig is shown only once per thread - whether the "show sig" is on or off - that should help reduce clutter.

Actually it should've come down to etiquette and people voluntarily turning off their sigs for one line responses - over and over.

Ok, now I'm a little nervous. Apparently there were PC Mech vibes in the air yesterday!! This is great though, as now I don't have to remember to turn off my sig. I don't like cluttering threads, but I always forget to turn it off. I was going to ask about this, but you Mods have enough to worry about so I didn't bother... THANKS!!

That is a good idea too. I don't think I have ever remembered to turn my signature off. Never even thought about it.

That's awesome... I kept on forgetting to turn off my sig and then going back right after and turning it off. It was annoying. I thought I was being less absent-minded today, but I guess not...

I'm sorry to dig up an old thread and I don't want to be pushy but I really like that quick-edit feature. I get so used to it on the AVS Forums and it is really annoying not having it here. I edit my posts a lot. Is there any reason it's not being implemented?

Isn't hitting the Edit button quick enough?

It's annoying having to wait for another page to load and then I can't go back and read posts while I'm typing so I don't get things mixed up. With quick edit it pops up right there and I can scroll up and make sure I'm getting the details right. It's just a really convenient feature.
