signitures

why does my signiture only appear once in a topic? How come every time I post my signiture is not listed below my post?

I believe the Forum software is setup that way. Some theads have hundreds of posts, that's a lot of bandwidth for redundant info.

They used to show up every time you posted, unless you chose not to include it with reply. They updated the forum to do this automatically, which makes a ton of sense. Not only does it save bandwidth and reduce repetition, it also shortens the time it takes to scan a thread for the important info.

The forum software is set to only show your sig in the first post you make in each thread. We also have rules regarding signatures that I suggest you read. I'm also asking you to reduce the size of yours, please use a small font and let the lines wrap instead of using hard returns. We take a dim view of signatures that occupy more space than the content of the post.

As mentioned above, the signature would only show up once in a thread by default before. Now it seems to show up every time again unless the "Show your signature" box is unchecked manually. Will the once per thread default be returned?

We just upgraded the forum software - maybe that hack got lost in the upgrade. I'll point this out to Dris.
