I was thinking, there could be a chatroom for live help/discussion.

There's tons of threads if you search, but to save you the trouble:
Connect to a server on Undernet (that's the name of the network) and joing the channel #pcmech. I sugges using mIRC to connect. There are FAQs and other resources on the site if you need help. |

There is a current server list at http://www.undernet.org - the predefined server list in most IRC clients is outdated.

Possibly a PCMech chat button on the site? I haven't figured out how to use the above stated suggestions. This would help me, but would it invite too many people you don't want? Just asking because I'm real dumb! RevCLB

The logistics of linking this site to IRC are almost impossible. The Undernet webchat is down more often than it works, so using an IRC client is the best way. You can *try* the webchat - fill in a nick and alternate nick and put #pcmech in the favorite channel box:
http://www.undernet.org/webchat.php It will refuse connection - then type this in the command line: /server amsterdam2.nl.eu.undernet.org When fully connected, type: /join #pcmech Then type: /nick yourname Where yourname is the name you want to be known as, 12 character limit. Note - the Webchat requires Java and you must accept the certificate. Last edited by glc; 12-29-2005 at 11:29 AM. |
