Reading History not Tracked

Not a suggestion here but really just a question:
I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.6 as my browser. When I read a thread there is no change visible after reading it to tell me that I have looked at it. Is there a setting in Firefox that I need to change?
I can't find anything related under my PCMech profile.
Thanks, AndyM

The envelops with the threads "should" change colors like the attached pic....If not, try pressing the F5 refresh key.
