Virtual Machines

Hello,

I'd like to suggest that you start a forum dedicated to Virtual Machine software, such as VMware, MS Virtual PC, Virtual Server and Apple Parallels.

I find they are quite amazing, and do a lot of testing of software and configurations with them. I also use them for security purposes. Files can be hidden inside of a virtual machine that spyware would never find. I also run Linux on virtual machines for safer surfing.

A forum dedicated to Virtual machines may be a good educational tool for the rest of the PC Mech community that is not aware with them.

Thanks,
Dwight (F525)

Thank you for your suggestion. We appreciate feedback.

I think that a dedicated forum for VMs would too narrowly focused right now. Virtual Machines are very interesting to use, I've spent some time with them myself. But there just is not enough demand for its own forum.

For anyone interesting in VM software, feel free to post in the General Software forum.

I agree about virtualization need. Some people just break their systems and could have tested it out before applying major changes, software installation etc.

I found this art. about installing new windows 2008 as a virtual machine and it worked cool for me. Maybe someone could use it to start and learn.
