Forum problem
Not sure where to put this.
This may be a browser issue I'm not sure. I'm usually using Firefox. When trying to reply to a post on PCmech, if I switch to a new tab to look at something, and then switch back. The text I've entered will CLEAR from the reply box. I can even see it for a fraction of a second, then it blanks out. This is really frustrating. Am I the only one that has this problem? Is there a fix or a workaround? I have once or twice opened up notepad and when the message was complete pasted it to the reply box. But it should not be necessary. |

IE7 doesn't do it.
The work around it to not click on another tab or type in Word or Notepad first

This Works:
Instead of opening another tab, open another instance of Firefox. Do your research or other surfing with the second window. When you want to add to your post minimize the window.

That's worth a shot. Just that I'm so used to tabs. I'm going to try the same experiment in IE7 just to see.

It took me forever to get used to tabs. It's sad too, because I had tabbed browsing available and didn't know I had it or how to use it. I still forget once in a while and open a new window.
