Security token?
Is anybody else having a problem posting due to something called a "security token"?
It only seems to happen to me if I have a thread open for several minutes before I try to post a reply. If I open a thread and quickly reply, like within say a minute or two, it posts fine, but most of the time I use the New Posts feature and just open each thread I want to read in it's own separate tab (being on dialup, that gives the latter ones time to open while I'm reading the first ones). So by the time I get to some of the last threads, they may have been open for 5 to 10 minutes, and it's those that mess up. Seems to be time-related, but not sure. When I try to post it says "Posting reply" as usual, then gives me a screen that says something to the effect of the post not being acceptable because it's missing a security token. What's up with that? Anybody else having this happen? Only thing I've been able to do to help is try and remember to copy my post before submitting it just in case it does this, because it loses everything I typed when that error happens.

Did some searching.....a vBulletin help forum I found said it's sometimes due to a style incompatibility. Maybe there's just a template or add-on here in the forums that Opera doesn't handle too well. Wouldn't be the first time I've found a site that Opera is picky about.

I have never seen an issue like that with Opera - but there are 2 differences between my setup and yours - I don't use Turbo, and I have the "ads-free" premium member interface.
Can I assume that you are checking "remember me" when you log in? |

Well, bummer. Like I said, mine is sometimes sporadic with this happening too, so who knows what it is.
Hey now! ![]() Quote:
As for the ads-free interface, I couldn't tell ya on that. I don't see ads anyway because of Opera's block content filter. On the "remember me", yes, I do that. Might try logging out and back in again, just to see if maybe it had a brain fart or something. |
